Golite Hooded Inferno Jacket (Outdoor Retailer Winter Market 2008) - 1

This 800-fill down insulated parka, available in fall 2008, is made with recycled shell and inner fabric. Outer shell fabric is 40 denier polyester with DWR. The feature set includes an attached contoured hood, Velcro adjustable cuffs, interior chest pocket, two hand warmer pockets, fleece-lined collar, and drawcord hem. The fit is relaxed, so it can be layered over other clothing. The weight is 1 pound 9 ounces, and MSRP is $275. It’s available in unixex sizes S to XXL.

We chose the Hooded Inferno Jacket because of its high warmth to weight ratio and essential feature set for winter camping. We need a really warm parka for the expected zero degree temperatures expected on Bob's trip, and to extend the temperature range of his sleeping bag.
